May 2021 - Love Note ”Turtle”
Welcome!
Last week, I introduced you to Turtle as our spirit animal for this month. Turtle Totem teaches us that we deserve the limitless nurturing energy from the Divine Mother. In Native American spirituality and other indigenous traditions, Mother Earth is that Divine Mother energy. Abundance is constantly flowing from Mother Earth to all of life. In all seasons, she provides every creature with food, water and shelter. She also inspires us with an abundance of magnificent landscapes, sunrises, and sunsets.
Healthy Boundaries
Turtles carry their home with them everywhere they go. When there's any sense of danger or threat they're able to quickly pull into their shell and feel protected. Turtle teaches us that we, too, have the ability to protect ourselves by establishing healthy boundaries. For us, this is about protecting our personal energy field. We are all easily influenced by one another's emotions and energy. Indeed, each of our hearts create an electromagnetic field that can be felt by those around us. We are each responsible for protecting ourselves and maintaining our own energy field. Just like children are taught in school to respect one another’s personal bubbles!
How can you establish better boundaries for yourself this month? How can you honor and pull into your protective space.
Suggestions:
Gain clarity on your desires and needs. Communicate those desires and needs clearly.
Try to not take responsibility for other people’s feelings and responses.
If you are in an environment and you feel uncomfortable, you are allowed to leave that environment.
Try this:
Many of us are in virtual meetings these days. If you find yourself uncomfortable or needing to take care of yourself during a virtual meeting, then mute yourself and turn off your video and step away to take care of you. Of course, you may want to let other’s know by posting a few words in the chat section, like “I’ll be back in a moment”. When you step away, take a moment to check in with yourself. How are you feeling? What emotions are present? Are you hungry or thirsty or in need of the bathroom? After you take care of your needs, then take a moment to step outside if possible and connect with Mother Earth. Or take a moment to gaze out a window. Also, take a few deep breaths and think of Turtle’s protective shell.
In closing, I want to remind you how deeply loved you are by the Divine Mother just simply because you are part of creation. You have the power within yourself to make positive joyful change in your life, to plant your seeds, and allow yourself the time and space to grow. Thank you for joining me on this journey to love, heal, and grow! I look forward to talking to you next week about planting seeds. If you have any questions or comments send them my way. If you would like support, go to my website to schedule some time with me.
Share the love! Please share this with a friend.
Always remember that you are loved beyond measure!
Lovingly,
Susan
